Sometimes ago, styling oversized clothes was a style fail. With time the  baggy clothes style has caught up. Its no longer mums making us don the same oversize hoodies or blazers through out our teenagehood.

Referring  to earlier opinion that baggy/oversized is unappealing, in my opinion its that it is not. Its very enticing and way comfortable.

This happens to be the most worn oversize clothing.Whether it is your boyfriend’s baggy shirt or just an outfit you picked yourself, an oversized shirt can be worn in different shapes and forms.

To style it best, its wise to go for two sizes larger than regular fit and ensure the shirt fits loosely around your waist.

You can step out in an oversized shirt styled as mini dress/ shirt dress and complete it with wedges, heels or even ankle boots. You can also wear the shirt as a jacket with the sleeves rolled up, buttons open almost all the way down and over a leather mini dress or tucked up into pants.

To create an Athleisure look,wear the shirt over well fitted biker shorts to balance the structure. This look is suitable for exercising or even lounging .

Oversized T-shirts

You can wear it as the only top or underneath a jacket. Whatever the case you should style it well so as to define your waist. You can half tuck or fully tuck it in your pants to ensure a well defined waist.

For a sunny look, choose a t-shirt in bold colors. Pair it with a contrasting color pair of sunglasses.wear the t-shirt with denim shorts and tuck a side of it to enhance the look and complete the look with white sneakers or tennis shoes.

Boyfriend Jeans

Your boyfriend’s big baggy jeans may also be part of your closet if styled correctly. You may tuck your top in  the jeans or wear a cropped top to show some skin and also have your waist well defined.

You can pair the boyfriend jeans with a blazer(not a tight one though), a tailored coat or even better, you can wear a bright colored blouse with puffed sleeves.

Baggy slouchy oversized cardigans

Cardigans have always been stylish. An oversized cardigan in your closet shouldn’t stress you out. You can wear it several ways and still be fashionable.

A maxi dress compliments a slouchy cardigan very well if completed with some pumps or low heels.

You can wear a v-necked or scooped neck top underneath to show some skin. Tuck the top in to your skinny jeans under the cardigan.

If you just want a simple look, wear your maxi dress and belt it under the cardigan and accompany it with a shawl or blanket scarf.

Oversized Sweaters

They can be worn with skinny jeans, leggings(preferably black) well fitted biker shorts or tight fitted pants to offset the volume. You might want to try ones with a slightly lower or wider neckline to ensure some skin.

For turtle neck sweaters,pair them with skinny and well fitting flats on you feet. To accentuate the look, wear tight jeans and add accessories such as wide colorful hoop earrings . 

Oversized Sweatshirts

Your oversized sweatshirts shouldn’t be reduced to only working out. Like the baggy/oversized sweaters these clothes can also be worn fashionably for events.

Wear the oversized sweatshirts with skinny jeans. Consider your colors not to color-crash. Leggings, biker shorts or fitted pants can complete your style.

Low boots can with skinny jeans can complete the look. For Biker shorts with oversized sweatshirts, high length boots juice up the style.

Slouchy oversized dresses

The one oversize dress at the back of your closet might have finally gotten use. You can wear it compliment and give it  structure with a blazer, a suede or a leather jacket.

A belt is a small accessory but on an oversized dress, it brings some style to the dress. You can use a big belt to a make bigger effect. 

Nice pumps or boots on your feet can  change how the dress takes you up.

Wide-leg Trousers

This one is easy to style. You need to have your waist well defined and the volume of the pants well managed to prevent overload.

A tight fitting top or bodysuit would work. Tuck the top or bodysuit into the trousers to ensure a well cinched waistline.

Oversized and Baggy Blazers and Jackets

With an oversized blazer its easy to step out in it officially. High tee or tank tops tucked into high waist pants can be a cool official look.

 If you want to show some skin, you can rock a sports bra and skinny jeans with sneakers. Or you can also wear a low neckline top with skinny jeans and loafers to complete the look.

Apart from these you can also style oversize hoodies, oversized fur coat, velvet coats and oversized denim jackets, oversized flannel shirts and oversized puffer jackets. You just need to ensure structure isn’t lost and comfortablity is maintained.
